WORD International Ministries
Discipleship Process

Stage 1: CONNECT

Seeking Friendships.

  • By this we mean looking opportunities to widen our circle of friends.
  • We connect people through our CP2G program by creating activities and events.
  • We follow the example of Jesus connecting to people as the Lord sincerely reach out and befriend them.
Stage 1
We WIN by intentionally SEEKING FRIENDSHIP of all people with the love of God that meets them where they are.

Stage 2: BELONG

Building Relationships
  • By this we mean starting to invite them to observe as guest in our church gatherings and Small Groups.
  • We make it our goal to make them feel welcome and at home.
  • We careful not to put pressure on them to believe the Gospel, but instead respect their space and time; acknowledging that everyone is on a spiritual journey.

Stage 2
We WIN by BUILDING RELATIONSHIP with our friends and guests, making them feel included and valued in our gatherings.

Stage 3: BELIEVE

Nurturing Faith

We recognize that every person is on spiritual journey, Therefore, believing is a process everyone will undergo. Some people may be ready, while others are still processing; and yet others may take some time to believe. However, once a person believes, NURTURING FAITH is what we do next. By this, we mean ushering them to join one of our Small Group where they will be guided in the Word, be nurtured spiritually and get experience what a community of faith is like.

Acts 2:42 (NLT)
42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.

Acts 2:43 (NLT)
43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.

Acts 2:44 (NLT)
44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.

Acts 2:45 (NLT)
45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.

Acts 2:46 (NLT)
46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity.

Acts 2:47 (NLT)
47 All the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.

We see how the early church and young community of believers grew and matured in their new found faith in Jesus. The word “devoted” speaks of their focus and commitment to the teachings of the apostles, fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer, giving and to their regular worship gatherings. And as result, we see that God’s hand was upon them as a church.

Nurturing the faith of our new brothers and sisters is best facilitated through our Small Groups. It is advisable to usher and connect them to one of our Small Group where they will learn and be guided in their personal prayer to God, in reading the Scriptures, in fellowship and worship.

    How to Nurture Faith

  • Read and Study His Word
  • Talk to God in Prayer
  • Fellowship with others
  • Meet in Small Groups
  • Tell others about Jesus
  • Giving and Sharing

Remember, our goal in BELIEVE is to NURTURE FAITH .

Therefore, guide, teach and create avenues for them to grow.

Usher them into your Small Group .

Nurturing Faith
We WIN by NURTURING FAITH of new believers through our Small Groups where they will be guided in the Word.

Stage 4: SERVE

Inspiring Service

We encourage new believers, when they are ready, to gradually join and serve in the ministries. We are INSPIRING SERVICE! By this, we mean helping them discover their spiritual gifts, enhance their abilities and improve their talents and utilize them to serve God in the various ministry expressions in the church. They are motivated to serve with their lives, time, talent, and resources and to help in building up the body of Christ.

Romans 12:6 (NLT)
6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.

Romans 12:7 (NLT)
7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well.

Romans 12:8 (NLT)
8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

Ephesians 4:11 (NLT)
11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

Ephesians 4:12 (NLT)
12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.

God has blessed each one of us with spiritual gift(s), and His Spirit inspires us to serve and build up the church – His Body.

Our spiritual gifts, God given abilities, talents and skills are to be discovered, enhanced and used to serve God and His people.

As leaders, we are to inspire, equip and train our brothers and sisters in the faith to use their gifts for His purpose.

Remember, our goal in SERVE is to INSPIRE SERVICE .

Therefore, encourage and model servanthood.

We WIN by INSPIRING SERVICE recognizing that every believer has a unique call and purpose in the Body of Christ.
